The Indiana Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (INFAME) is a partnership of regional manufacturers whose purpose is to implement career pathway, apprenticeship-style educational programs that will create a pipeline of highly skilled workers.
OUR PASSION
The Indiana Manufacturers Association’s initiative INFAME is driven to assist manufacturers throughout Indiana in developing their own personalized programs to ensure a pipeline of well-qualified and educated workers for the next generation. Realizing that each company and region in Indiana is unique and has its own special needs, we have gathered the best of the best in programs. We will show you how to implement the program and partner with local schools, trade schools, and colleges. INFAME is your one-stop resource for building your future workforce from the ground up.
OUR VISION
Transforming Indiana’s manufacturing workforce to ensure the economic success of the manufacturing industry.
GOALS
INFAME will work closely with educational institutions to establish and endorse programs and curricula that develop the skill-sets students need for Indiana’s manufacturing jobs.
OUR INITIATIVE
The Advanced Manufacturing
Technician (AMT) Program
INFAME is proud to offer the Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) Program. The AMT program is a standardized and structured approach to preparing a student for a career. This five-semester technical program integrates both on-the-job training and classroom education, offering the student the opportunity to earn wages and college credit while concurrently earning their diploma. Work-Based Learning &
Training Resources
Not interested in the Advanced Manufacturing Technician Program? INFAME can assist your company in other work-based learning and training opportunities. Through federally recognized and registered apprenticeships, work-based learning, internships and on-the-job training, INFAME can help. If your company is interested in offering work-based learning and training opportunities, contact Andrew Berger.
Manufacturing Awareness
To build a pipeline of successful workers, INFAME works with local partners on activities that bring awareness to the high-wage, high-tech jobs available in manufacturing. Each year, there is a series of Manufacturing Day celebrations that encourage manufacturers throughout the country to open their doors to middle and high school students to explore occupations in manufacturing. Be a part of the solution today!
